Laser scanners protect vertical hangar walls from collisions

In the hangar, 2D laser scanners are installed on the aircraft docking system, maintenance platform and walls to prevent the platform from colliding with the wall. When someone approaches the monitoring area defined by the laser scanner, the area will emit an audible or optical warning signal.

1. System technology implementation principle

Spatial modeling technology
The laser scanner uses TOF (time of flight) or triangulation principle to perform two-dimensional scanning of the horizontal surface at a frequency of 10-50Hz
The point cloud density can reach 0.1° angular resolution, and a plane contour model with millimeter-level accuracy is constructed
Dynamic partitioning algorithm
Adaptive area division technology is used to automatically adjust the safety boundary according to the aircraft model
When the maintenance platform moves, the system calculates the dynamic protection area in real time to avoid interference with fixed structures
