Light curtain sensor selection guide
The first step: to determine the optical axis spacing (resolution) of safety light curtain types

It is necessary to consider the specific environment and operation of the operator. If the machine equipment is a paper cutter, the operator enters the dangerous area more frequently and is close to the dangerous area, which is prone to accidents, so choose a relatively small optical axis spacing Light curtain (for example: 10mm). Consider a light curtain that protects your fingers.
2. In the same way, if the frequency of entering the dangerous area is relatively reduced or the distance is enlarged, you can choose a palm-protecting (20-30mm).
3. If you want to protect the arm in the dangerous area, you can choose a light curtain with a slightly larger distance (40mm).
4. The maximum light curtain is to protect the human body, you can choose the maximum light curtain distance (80mm).
Step 1: Choose the protection height of light curtain
It should be determined according to specific machinery and equipment, and conclusions can be drawn from actual measurements. Pay attention to the difference between the height of the light barrier sensor and the protection height of the infrared light curtain. [The height of the safety light curtain: the total height of the surface of the safety light curtain; the protection height of the safety light sensor: the effective protection range of the light curtain when it is working, that is, the effective protection height = optical axis spacing * (total number of optical axes -1 )
Step 2: Choose the distance of the light curtain
The beam distance is the distance between the transmitter and the receiver, which should be determined according to the actual situation of the machine and equipment, so as to select a more suitable light curtain.
After determining the beam distance, the length of the cable must also be considered.
Step 3: to determine the output type of the light curtain signal
It must be determined according to the signal output mode of the safety light curtain. Some light curtains may not match the signal output by the machine and equipment, which requires configuration of the controller.
Step 4: bracket selection
Choose L-shaped bracket or base rotating bracket according to your needs.
