FlightSense is a trademark of ST Flight Time Technology. The time-of-flight principle is based on the speed of light. The photons sent by the transmitter are reflected by the target and detected by the receiver (called SPAD of Single Photon Avalanche Diode). The time difference between transmit and receive provides the actual distance (in millimeters) of the target with high accuracy.

Note:

1) ※1: The blind area is within 0~0.2m, and the test data is not recommended.

2) ※2: The factory defaults to passive measurement mode. The host sends a measurement command once to perform a measurement action.

3) ※3: The light spot at 12 meters is about a circle with a diameter of 0.9m. If the measured object is relatively small, the deviation of the measurement result will be relatively large.

4)※4: The exposure time is the test frame rate of 5us. In actual application, the corresponding measurement time will be automatically adjusted inside the module, and the data will be output only after the end of the test.

When measuring the maximum exposure time, the frame rate will be reduced to about 10 Hz.

5) ※5: The ambient light is the intensity of the direct light from the surface of the object to be measured. When the incident angle of the ambient light is different, stronger ambient light is allowed.

6)※6: When the temperature changes drastically, the distance measurement deviation will produce additional deviations along with the temperature change.

7) If the target is far away or the reflectivity is low, the actual output frame rate may become slower due to the multi-frame processing inside the module.
