Hazardous area protection with safety laser scanner
The safety laser scanner works by measuring TOF ("time-of-flight" time of flight). The scanner emits infrared laser pulses to form a detection area. When encountering the detection object, the infrared laser pulse will return to the scanner from the surface of the object, and the scanner can calculate the distance of the target by the time difference between transmitting and receiving the pulse.
The movement of the automatic processing unit is stopped by the outer area, while the movement of the upper part of the mold is stopped by the inner protection area. The result is increased productivity because processes can run independently of each other.
