For navigation requirements within a 20-meter radius, a single-line Time of Flight (TOF) lidar is recommended, such as the Starmiao Technology PAVO series (e.g., the XD-TOF-20H). It offers a 20-meter range, ±30mm ranging accuracy, a minimum angular resolution of 0.08°, 270° angular coverage, and an IP65 rating, making it suitable for complex indoor and outdoor environments. This model must meet the following hardware requirements:
Compatible with Ubuntu 16.04 and above, and the ROS Kinetic/Melodic environment
Equipped with USB/Ethernet ports for data transmission
Supports motor speed adjustment (frame rate 10-30Hz) to optimize scanning density.
